The Nitty-Gritty Stuff
We don’t cut corners on the hardware. We use high-purity quartz tubes filled with halogen gas. Here is why that matters: in a normal bulb, tungsten builds up on the glass and dims the light over time. The halogen cycle stops that from happening, so your lamps stay clear and powerful for thousands of hours. We also use R7s or SK15 connectors. They’re snug. They won’t rattle loose when the kitchen gets chaotic. One heads-up, though: check your wiring. These lamps pull a lot of current. If your voltage drops because the wiring is too thin, you’ll see flickering, or worse, you’ll burn out your elements way too early.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
The best part is that these are usually drop-in replacements for most OEM ovens. They pack a massive amount of heat into a tiny space. But be careful. Because shortwave IR is so intense, it penetrates the food fast. You can’t just “set it and forget it.” If you leave a crust in for a few seconds too long, it’s charred.
