We designed this bathroom heater for the one place where water and heat have to get along—or things fall apart fast. It’s an infrared heater, splash-proof to IPX4, built around one simple job: give you focused warmth, right where you need it, without letting a single splash kill the lamp. Because in a humid bathroom, “protection” isn’t a nice-to-have. It’s the difference between a heater that lasts and one that gives up after a few months.
How it feels (and why it works)
Here’s the thing about infrared heat: it warms people and surfaces directly, instead of fighting to heat the whole room. So you feel the warmth almost instantly—on your skin, on the towel, on the tile underfoot. The air stays less heavy, less stuffy. Just warm. And the IPX4 rating? It’s not magic, just good, solid design. The housing is sealed, the gaps are controlled, and the electrical bits stay tucked away from water coming from any direction. You wire it in, and it stays reliable.
Inside: built to handle the heat—again and again
Inside, we use a halogen lamp in a quartz envelope. Quartz can take the high filament temperature, and it doesn’t panic when you flip the switch on and off. The halogen cycle helps, too. It keeps the bulb cleaner by returning evaporated tungsten back to the filament. That’s why the output stays steady, and the life is longer than a basic incandescent.
Comfortable light, not harsh glare
Bathrooms are tight, and you’re often looking right at the heater. So we tuned the optics for comfort—controlled spectrum, a reflector that cuts glare and eases eye strain. The light stays warm and soft, not harsh.
Installation: make it easy, not fancy
We kept installation practical. The R7s base is a standard double-ended connector, so in many setups it’s a straight swap. The footprint is compact, so it fits into tight ceiling or wall spots without forcing you to redesign the room.
What it does in the real world
In daily bathroom use, this heater is fast and directional. It’s great for comfort—stepping out of the shower, reaching for warmth that’s there instantly. It helps with drying, too. The IPX4 sealing protects the joints and connections, which means fewer call-backs from moisture getting in where it shouldn’t. And because the heat is concentrated where you need it, you don’t have to waste energy trying to warm the entire air volume.
The trade-off (and how to stay safe)
One reality: a high-intensity infrared lamp gets hot—locally hot. So the fixture and nearby materials need to handle that temperature, and the circuit needs proper load management. Plan the wiring, leave the right thermal clearance, and make sure ventilation is sorted. Do that, and you get a bathroom heater that’s dependable, splash-safe, and genuinely comfortable—packed into one compact unit.
