The Power Behind the Warmth
We’re talking serious power here: 2500W. It runs on either a 220V-240V circuit or a 400V one. That kind of punch is what lets a 300mm tube warm up almost instantly—exactly what you want when you step out of the shower. Now, the 400V option is a smart move if you’ve got a longer wire run. It means less current flowing through the wiring, which cuts down on voltage drop and keeps the terminals from getting too hot. Just keep in mind, your control panel and wiring need to be rated for that higher voltage.
The Secret is in the Materials
The heart of this thing is a halogen-filled quartz tube. Quartz was the obvious choice. It can handle extreme heat and doesn’t expand and contract much when things heat up and cool down. That means no cracking, even with those rapid heating cycles. And the halogen cycle? That’s what keeps the element clean. It stops the blackening that would otherwise kill the output over time. So you get consistent heat, day after day. For the electrical connection, we use an R7s connector. It’s a double-ended pin design that locks in with a spring. It’s a proven standard for a reason—it prevents arcing and makes sure the lamp is seated perfectly, keeping everything safely insulated.
