Getting the heat where it matters We use shortwave IR because it actually sinks deep into the substrate. It doesn’t just sit on the surface. The cool part? You can tweak the wattage and voltage to match how fast your conveyor is moving. This keeps your temperature steady and predictable. If you go with high-wattage tubes, you can actually shrink the size of your annealing lehr, which frees up some much-needed floor space. One heads-up, though: when you’re pushing that much heat, your reflectors take a beating. Keep them clean. If they get grimey, you’ll end up with hotspots and wasted power. Built to take a beating We use high-purity quartz for the envelopes. Why? Because rapid cycling creates a lot of thermal shock, and cheap materials just crack. We can also add special coatings to the lamps. This stops the energy from bouncing off the glass and forces it to be absorbed. And don’t worry about a massive electrical overhaul. We use standard industrial connectors, so these are basically “plug and play.” You can swap your old setup for these without having to rip apart your electrical panels.
