When you go that long, you start fighting voltage drops and the risk of thermal expansion. We use high-wattage quartz tubes to keep the heat steady from one end to the other. It’s all about the balance between voltage and wattage. You want the edges of that glass to be just as hot as the center. The trade-offs you need to consider Here’s the thing: these long lamps put out a massive amount of heat, but they’re hungry. They put a real load on your electrical panel. You’ve got to make sure your transformers and cabling can actually handle the amperage of a 3-meter array. Plus, keep an eye on your cooling.
