We make them specifically for these massive footprints. The struggle with 3+ meter spans You can’t just “stretch” a filament and call it a day. It doesn’t work like that. When you go that long, you start fighting voltage drops and the risk of thermal expansion. We use high-wattage quartz tubes to keep the heat steady from one end to the other. It’s all about the balance between voltage and wattage. You want the edges of that glass to be just as hot as the center. If one section gets too aggressive with the power, your coating won’t stick properly. And that’s a headache nobody wants. Built for the grind We use heavy-wall quartz. Why? Because over a long span, cheap tubes sag. They bend under their own weight. Our tubes aren’t fragile little bulbs. They’re built to take a beating inside an industrial oven. We also use reinforced connectors. Machines vibrate. A lot. These connectors make sure your wiring stays put and doesn’t shake loose in the middle of a shift. The trade-offs you need to consider Here’s the thing: these long lamps put out a massive amount of heat, but they’re hungry. They put a real load on your electrical panel. You’ve got to make sure your transformers and cabling can actually handle the amperage of a 3-meter array. Plus, keep an eye on your cooling.
